244 alumnos participan en la Convocatoria de la Asociación CANTABRIA DANZA los días 18, 19 y 20 de Diciembre de exámenes privados de Danza Española conforme al Plan de estudios elaborado por dicha Asociación, que se desarrollará en el Salón de Actos del Palacio de Exposiciones de Santander.
A dichos exámenes sólo tendrán acceso los profesores y titulares de las 16 Escuelas que en la actualidad forman parte de la Asociación.
El programa de Danza Española, formado por ocho cursos, cuya edad de inicio comienza a los nueve años en el primer curso, se divide en Básico (4 cursos) y Profesional (4 cursos), debiendo destacarse que, el alumno que consiga superar el último curso de esta programación tendrá un nivel suficiente para poder acceder a una prueba de acceso al Grado Superior a que se refiere el artículo 42 de la Ley Orgánica 6/2001, de Universidades, siempre fuera de nuestra región, habida cuenta de que, aún no se ha creado en la Universidad de Cantabria los estudios correspondientes para acceder al título Grado Universitario de Ciencias de la Danza, Grado Universitario de Pedagogía de las Artes Visuales y Danza ó Grado de Danza en la especialidad de Coreografía e Interpretación, titulaciones que preparan no solo en los aspectos técnicos la danza, sino también en competencias pedagógicas, relacionadas con la salud y vinculadas con la gestión de actividades artísticas formación con las salidas profesionales en el mundo de la danza para optar a puestos como director de compañía, coreógrafo, coordinador, técnico multidisciplinar, etc.
Pretendemos, además, que los alumnos de Danza de nuestra Comunidad Autónoma, cuenten con un reconocimiento en su currículum que avale su formación, máxime si tenemos en cuenta el prestigio de los miembros del Tribunal que evaluará sus conocimientos.
Contará con la presencia de Francisco Velasco, primer bailarín del Ballet Nacional de España, así como con Penélope Sánchez Erena (ex-solista de dicho Ballet).
